OUR FAMILY STORY - 100 YEARS FURNITURE IS OUR PRIDE & JOY
At D2 Office Furniture, tradition and innovation converge in the heart of New York City. Founded by Nathan & Fanny Dallek in 1920. Dallek, a family-owned business has thrived through four generations. Originating in humble beginnings in Soho, NYC, the legacy was next entrusted to Herbert Schwartzberg and Godfrey Dallek, and later to Neil and Fred Schwartzberg. Today it continues under the leadership of Hugh Schwartzberg, D2 Office Furniture & Design, Inc. represents our reimagined commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Dallek began its journey thriving on the corner of Spring and Broadway until the 1980s. Embracing the city’s transformation and growth, Dallek later expanded to a prominent flagship location at 269 Madison Avenue. Through strategic advertising in the New York Times, the Dallek name became synonymous with office furniture expertise throughout the city. Adapting to changes in the business landscape, we reorganized and rebranded in 2010 as D2 Office Furniture & Design, Inc., relocating to our current headquarters at 150 E. 39th Street.
From our central location, just a five-minute walk from Grand Central Station on 39th Street between Lexington and Third Avenues, D2 continues to thrive. We specialize in creating and furnishing commercial spaces throughout the tri-state area and are expanding into the Southeastern United States. Our flagship studio provides easy access to all of our manufacturer showrooms nearby.
