Planning
We plan so you can grow!
Once we have learned about your brand, staffing levels and the services you provide, D2 can begin the design process. A site survey is always recommended, even for the smallest projects. One of our trained office space planners will meet on-site for a walk-through inspection. If the build-out is incomplete, we will review any available documentation and confirm that they are accurate once construction is finished. The purpose of the visit is to document all relevant architectural elements and take detailed measurements. It also gives us a chance to get a feel for the overall environment and to record any other variables that may affect the design. With this comprehensive data, our office space planning team will create an accurate floor plan illustrating essential factors, including door swing directions, reflective ceiling plans and lighting plans as required. Next, D2’s designers will prepare preliminary space studies.
They will assess and suggest layouts and configurations for furnishings that best utilize the available space. Our technology-sensitive team will identify optimal locations for mapping information technology and suggest ideal locations for electrical outlets, data feeds and applicable receptacles. Revisions and redesigns of all concepts will be flushed out until our clients are satisfied with the furniture layouts and configurations. Delivery and installation may be the last time we interact with a client until the next project. Our warehousing and logistics coordinators handle all the details. All merchandise is received and thoughtfully inspected by a trusted warehouse staff member. When your order is ready for delivery, we will ensure that any building insurance requirements are met. One of our team members will contact you to schedule and provide an arrival time. A project supervisor leads every delivery and installation team. They will ensure the work follows the plan and meets all expectations. Upon completion, the team leader will do a walkthrough inspection, and they will request a sign-off indicating that the work is complete.
